It is also used to provide a seal underneath the Ridge Closure on CFR panels

Flashings – Tape is used to form a continuous, waterproof seal between flashings and panels and to seal openings where fasteners penetrate the flashing and panel. Also used as vapor sealant and cut edges of wall panels
